A Typical Day

A typical school day includes variety, such as:

Activity Centers: Free choice of play in planned centers. Centers include art, blocks, cooking, manipulatives, books, drama, carpentry, water/rice play, music, and simple games.

Group Settings: Stories, music, finger plays, listening activities, discussion on topics, sharing, pre-academic learning skills, guest presentations, field trips.

Large Muscle Development: Supervised activity to increase coordination indoors in our “gym” or our new outdoor Playground.. Play on/with equipment, such as swing, slide, scooters, balls, balance beam, and tumbling mats.

Snack: At this time we thank God for our blessings. This is a time to enjoy once another and become refreshed. Children learn by example and experience. Our snack time provides an excellent opportunity to develop a positive attitude towards healthy foods. We will serve water and crackers/cookies. For variety, we ask parents to provide a nutritious snack once, each semester for the class.  We will be collecting "snack needs" at Parent Orienatation  held in early September.  Any food allergies will be posted.
